Pepper Pots Coming To Skalifornia

The Pepper Pots, Spain’s beloved trad ska dance band is touring the US. You can see all their dates here. I’ll be seeing them at Balazo in San Francisco on March 27, and in Petaluma Saturday March 28 with The Uptones and The Street Vendors. The Pepper Pots were formed in 2002 with the aim of bringing back the sound and style of the Jamaican bands of the 60s that made the dancefloors of the era vibrate. Give their tunes a listen and you’ll find they sound as beautiful as they look.

Buster the Ska Doggie

Buster the Ska Doggie was born on July 4th, 2008 when The Uptones released their epic Skankin' Foolz Unite! album. Jesse Michaels drew Buster for the record cover and Buster leaped off of it and started dancing around. Before long Buster had amassed a massive collection of ska records and friends and has been to every single ska show on earth, usually attending at least 100 around the world, all at the same time. Don't ask how he does it. Buster blogs at and you also can find him on FB and Twitter. W00f!
