The Steadys NYC, Skankin’ On In Thee Blogosphere

Here’s a swell article from Marco On The Bass reviewing the music and hijinks of NYC’s The Steadys. The band was founded by a 17-year old Rob Gainfort in early 1989, after he was told by Rob Hingley of The Toasters that he was too young to audition as a lead singer! Marco conducts a lively interview with a grow’d up Mr. Gainfort, and there are some excellent mp3s in the post to enjoy as well. If, like this ska doggie, you missed The Steadys when they were together, you can still enjoy ’em today thanks to the wonders of thee Interwebs. Two paws up.

Buster the Ska Doggie

Buster the Ska Doggie was born on July 4th, 2008 when The Uptones released their epic Skankin' Foolz Unite! album. Jesse Michaels drew Buster for the record cover and Buster leaped off of it and started dancing around. Before long Buster had amassed a massive collection of ska records and friends and has been to every single ska show on earth, usually attending at least 100 around the world, all at the same time. Don't ask how he does it. Buster blogs at and you also can find him on FB and Twitter. W00f!
